Party Recap

When my daughter and I were trying to agree on a theme for her birthday, she really didn’t know what she wanted (yet). Until I realized she loves milk, in fact she loves it so much I threw out the idea for a Strawberry Cow/Strawberry Milk themed birthday and she was all in! I began my search on Pinterest, then on Instagram, and I couldn’t really find anything pre-made for this theme, so it was time to get creative. I make decorated cookies for a living. I’m not an event planner by any means, but when it comes down to it, especially fun and unique themes like this one, I tend to go all out! I began searching the internet and local stores for things I could purchase individually, I found only 1 supplier for strawberry milk themed party supplies (plates, and cups). It was very challenging trying to find the perfect items that would look nice once it’s all put together. For the party favors, I found these cute berry baskets that are made from durable plastic, which makes them reusable. I filled each basket with chocolates, pop it fidget toys, and each child received a personalized strawberry shape cookie. Instead of serving cake to our guests, we decided cupcakes were easier. The cake was just a center piece to display the cute cake topper I made out of a cookie (since I couldn’t find any cute cake toppers online). Alongside the centerpiece cake, were Strawberry Cow decorated cookies I had so much fun making! The chalkboard I designed myself using chalkboard marker, I then sealed in the chalkboard design using a Mod Podge glossy spray sealer. I even went as far as adding real strawberry milk to the milk bottles, and displaying them on top of cute wooden milk crate-looking boxes. The table cover is in fact a tapestry, since I couldn’t find a cute cow print table cover, it still worked perfectly! Overall the party theme was so much fun to design, and to push my creativity.

My best friend was the eye behind the lens. Without her, I probably wouldn’t have gotten any cute photos of the party. She is the co-owner of Instagram.com/pandjplurlers and is extremely creative in any field she takes on.
