Party Recap

For Simone's 10th birthday we decided to do an Alice in Wonderland themed tea party with her girl scout pals. Instead of spending extra on printables I got familiar with my Apple and just did everything on Pages. The invitation also mentioned "Come in your Maddest Outfit", since dressing up is so much fun. Once the girls arrived they were welcomed with little "Drink Me" bottles (of airhead juice bought from dollar tree) and they got to choose a key necklace to wear around their neck. Also, we did two "recycled" craft stations- mini top hats (made from cardboard cereal boxes) and Alice Magnets (made from can lids). I had my friend's daughters who are attending beauty school to come and paint the girls nails. We created a playlist on You Tube of Alice music to play during the party and the girls just loved watching all the videos, so much so that they didn't want to play any of the games I had planned- painting the roses relay or pin the grin on the Cheshire. It really was a blast to plan and to have.
