Party Recap

How can you resist a dinosaur birthday party when your son's name is Rex? He loves all things dino, and I didn't want to disappoint him. It was a laid-back party with casual activities to occupy the kids. Rex had a really great time, and that's what matters!

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

We ordered pizzas as the main course and also had dino chicken nuggets, fruit and veggie trays, and several chips and dips.

  • What People Drank

For drinks, we kept it simple with bottled water and "swamp juice" (green koolaid).

  • Desserts

I made vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting. They were topped with milk chocolate "rocks" and a little dino figure.

  • Party Favors

Each guest got a little bag with a foam dino mask, some dino stamps, and an individually bagged dino cookie. They also kept whatever dino skeletons they dug up at the "excavation site."

  • Activities / Games

We had loose balloons to play with, a giant inflated dinosaur, coloring pages, a dino-dig area, and a big black board where kids could draw their own dino creations.
