Prima Ballerina Party - Alyssa's 7th Birthday

Here’s a fun fact for you – I was dancer for over 20 years in my youth. My grandmother danced for almost 30 years (during the war times) and now my two daughters are following in the family trade. So when my gorgeous client got in touch with me to create a beautiful ‘Prima Ballerina’ party for her little girl to enjoy with all of her family and friends; I pointed my toes, pirouetted to my party shed and began putting together what I think is one the most exquisite ballerina parties I have created to date
From the initial sketching’s on my notepad, to the final design; everything from the custom built backdrop, golden ballerina’s and pretty pink and white tutu table skirts right through to the custom desserts, and matching children’s party table was simply perfection. And perfectly at home too in our guest of honour’s local dance studio .
On the dessert table, a stunning display of artistry beginning with the birthday cake, a pink ruffled confection of multitiered cake with a gorgeous custom cake topper on top created by @the-cupcake-house in Wilberforce. Accompanying the cake was a selection of pink and white cupcakes, donuts and macaroons by Sabilicious Cakes – with the white chocolate icing on top of the donuts, genius! Yum! And how fabulous do they look displayed in our new 3-tiered gold mirrored treat stands. (Um, yes just a wee bit obsessed with these at the moment *lol*) A selection of confectionary filled the lolly jars and little gold jewellery boxes together with our customary thank you chocolates, with custom wrappers created by Little Wren Prints – the design of which was a perfect match for our tableware.
Next we had the super adorable tutu cake pops from @cakepopmum – these little bites of sweetness positively swirled around our ornate mirrored serving trays, beautifully framing the cookie works of art by Flyawaypineapple. You have to take another look at those ballerina cookies in the photo album, so beautiful you could almost frame them and put them on the wall!
On the children’s party table, more fun ballerina inspired tableware, party boxes filled with party favours (and to fill up at the dessert table before heading home), together with another of our newest tableware purchases - gorgeous pink and gold rimmed glassware Floral garlands, more glittering ballerina’s and sparkly bubble wands, each one with custom labels created by @littlewrenprints completed our party table styline. And did you see those gorgeous white children’s Tiffany chairs from Party Mamma Parties & Events (rentals) on display again? This time we chose to embellish them with pink tutus which later doubled us a fun ballet costume for the children to wear during our entertainment.
And for the entertainment we set up some fun games to help run off the sugar high from the oh so yummy dessert bar which included a fun ballet lesson where we learnt a quick ballet routine to ‘The Dance of the Reeds’ out of Fantasia. It was so lovely to see all of the children, both girls and boys, coming together to try their hand at learning a new skill – and can I just say too, their arabesques were to die for! Far better than mine! *lol*
Before we knew it, it was time for my assistant party minion – Jorja, and I to allocate the little dancing trophy’s and say our farewells before beginning the task of packing the party away for next time.
