Party Recap
What more fun than a pirates' afternoon?
During summer time there is a lot of spare time. Florida's heat is intense, and we decided to take advantage and come outside to create a fun afternoon, filled with water, sand, and PIRATES!
We designed a set up made with wood crates, wood decor, chandeliers, empty wine bottles, a skeleton, anchors, and of course a net! Our pirates also left some important messages in a bottle!
Kids loved to have their Matey "Sparow Skeleton" visit them and had the chance to dress up like him, search for a hidden treasure, play can toss, and draw!
We created "special paper" (resembeling worned down paper) by burning the corners. Then our pirates had the chance to draw their own maps which depicted the location of the treasure.
To end our afternoon, we had the kids follow many clues to find the hidden treasure which was filled with small toys and candies!
Remember, you don't have to wait for someone's birthday to create a fun pirates' afternoon. Summer is the perfect excuse!
