Olivia's Minnie Mouse Soiree

This was my daughter's 4th birthday & we hosted a classic Minnie Mouse soiree- my daughter was enthralled & helped with most of the preparation. I made all of the decor, favors, "ears", face paint, food & the pinata. I had organized games prepared but we never got to them- the kids played so well together, exploring the toys & backyard. Guests enjoyed the homemade "ears" and face painting and the pinata was a huge hit. However, the abundance of homemade Minnie Mouse sweets was probably the biggest highlight for most guests, including my daughter- there were happy little faces munching everywhere:) It was a lot of work but a HUGE success!

  This was an afternoon party- I set out chips, Baby Belle cheeses, Lil Smokies, gherkins & strawberries with Nutella in mini paper cups

  Juice boxes, water, red punch & coffee

• Desserts

  I focused mainly on desserts: homemade caramel popcorn, homemade marshmallow pops, homemade oreo pops, homemade creamcheese poundcake cupcakes (full size + mini), homemade devil's food birthday cake with creamcheese frosting

  Homemade miniature coloring books & crayon bundles

• Activities / Games

  The kids played with Melissa & Doug cake & cupcake sets, Minnie & Mickey Mouse puzzles, Minnie & Mickey Mouse Mr. Potato heads & other themed toys before eating. Everyone moved to the backyard afterwards & broke open the pinata before singing & having cake.
