Mr. One-derful Raheel's First Birthday

We had a great night celebrating my son's first birthday. We decided to go with a Mr. One-derful theme as I really wanted to dress him in a tux. All the decorations were hand made by myself. I also did the styling and made all the desserts. My mother cooked all the food. It really was a family affair.

• What People Ate

  We had a buffet dinner with a selection of Bangladeshi dishes: pea polao, tuna kebab, spicy beef curry, egg korma, mixed vegetables, chicken malai curry, and garden salad. There was also a selection of desserts: lemon cake, hazelnut cake pops, sugar cookies, pineapple custard, peanut butter and s'more cupcakes, strawberry macarons, and meringues.

• Party Favors

  Each child had a personalized favour bag with toys and sweets. The adults also got a small pouch of sweets and a water bottle. All the gifts were labelled with the party logo.

• Activities / Games

  We had a photo wall with frame and props so people could take pictures. The kids played musical chairs and pin the tail on the donkey.
