Party Recap

The mother chose the theme and bought some items from a party website. Then she asked me to help her.
I used the colours of the items she brought, pink and yellow, and the stripe and polka dot patterns and work around that.

The mum made the cake, the brazilian sweets in the tower and the savory food. I styled the party, did some craft and the rest of desserts.

It was fun, and as we were friends I was also a guest in the party.

Thanks, Felicia! You can have an idea on Bakerella page (http://www.bakerella.com/you-asked/) But at the end I was pushing the chocolate discs on the cake ball itself, instead of cutting it. If that makes sense to you. And I used pink Wilton Candy Melts to cover everything. Hope that helps!

Hello! Thank you for your compliments, I hope your daughter's party turns out the way you want it. As for the food me and the mum are Brazilian so she made all this little savoury party food that are so common in Brazil. (there more food on the party description on your right). Although we live in Ireland, we take time in our parties to make this traditional foods we miss so much. As for the marshmallows, there is just one kind pink and white, only I decorated them differently. One I dipped in chocolate and put a choco button on top and the other I made ears out of the same button. Its easy to stick them once you dip in chocolate, cause it acts like a glue.

i just wish you were in the states because its just amazing. You are very creative. In pic 8 is that like pudding in the cups? What is on the minnie mouse stand and did you make the stand yourself? What are those stars at the end of the table and your labels and the mickey heads going around the table did you make them yourself?

Ok, Blessin, lets go bits by bits :-) In those cups are another brazillian treat called brigadeiro, is made out of condensed milk and can be flavoured anything, in this case strawberry. The minnie mouse stand I did myself and the mum did the cake. The stand was a cake board covered with pink plastic then satin ribbon around it. The pedestal was made out of cake dummies (2 x 6") and covered with pink cardboard then decorated with pink ribbons (with and without dots). There are amazing tutorials on the web to made your own cake stand.. The star chocolates was the mum's creation, she bought some stickers over the intenet, some star shaped chocolate mould and did the lollies herself. The labels I did myself but it was using mikey die cuts I bought over etsy. It's brilliant, take a look at Etsy, its super cheap and they post it ready to use. Mickey sillouete I think they call it. But you can buy the punch and diy it. For me was cheaper to ship the ready product. For the bow I bought a mini bow puncher and glue it to each head. With the sweets I glued two heart shaped sprinkle to look like a bow, and its all edible. i used a minie mouse cookie cutter she bought on ebay I think. Thank you again for your compliments, take a look at this places: etsy, ebay, amazon.. Google some tutorials.. I learn everything like that. The table tutu, the cake stand.. You are in America its a dream to find anything there. Here is really hard and shipping is always so expensive.. We have to improvise sometimes :-) Let me know if you need any info. Glad to help.

Hello, thank tou, I'm glad you liked the party. In this case I was working with a very talented mum and she did many things in this party. The cake, brazilian sweets, brazilian savory treats and this ballon arch. It is very comon in Brazilian parties. All I can say is that she watch some you tube videos to learn how to do it. I look for one for you, is in portuguese but it has the step by step in images so you will be able to understand the images. Is not hard at all just make sure you have some sort of cardboard circle that makes all your ballons the same size, or it doesn't look neat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNt75Ia-uIg&feature=youtube_gdata_player Good luck!

Hi Rosemarie, it is a brazilian thing, called brigadeiro. Its basically condensed milk with strawberry nesquick. Google strawberry brigadeiro for a recipe. Or if in US I know some vendors that can make for you.
