Selected as Party of the Day on June 6th!
Meghan's 10th Birthday
ByParty Recap
I was on vacation in Florida and found these lovely cupcake plates, placecard holders, jewlery boxes, towels and tablecloths in a Dollar store and thus this theme was created.
Party Highlights
-
Best Dressed
They were all the same, but the boys looked really cute in their hat and aprons.
-
Desserts
ice cream cake and cupcakes
-
Activities / Games
pass the cupcake (hot potato), freeze dance and decorating their cupcakes.
-
Budget
I spent about $200.00. Almost everything (not the candy) was bought at Dollar Stores.
-
Party Favors
The girls got to take home their 4 decorated cupcakes, chef hat and apron as well as a treat bag full of candies. The prizes were cupcake jewelery boxes.
-
What People Ate
It was from 2 to 4, so a meal wasn't served. There was chips/cheeses and popcorn to nibble on.
-
What People Drank
pop, juices or bottled water
-
Funniest Moment
having the icing glop out of the top of the icing bags, despite using clips at the ends. What a mess!

karina, it was a DIY project. Painted canvas and wooden dowels, held together by masking tape. I have used it for several of my parties and baby showers. worht the afternoon it took to put it all together.

A very creative party! I especially love the decorations. I also have a 10 year old and I know it is hard to please them but when she saw this party idea, she loved it! Thank you.
