Party Recap

My boys and I love Dr. Seuss stories, so I decided to make it my 3rd sons Birthday theme. Since there aren't many decorations easily available for this theme, I had to get a little creative. I think everything turned out great and everyone had so much fun.

Party Highlights

  • Party Favors

We had baby goody bags with rubber duckies, bubbles, a ball, a tambourine and candy for the parents. Kid goody bags had a lot of candy, Dr. Seuss mini notebooks with Dr. Seuss pencils and sunglasses. Per-teen Goody bags were take out boxes full of just candy for the kids that feel too old for goody bags but still enjoy candy.

  • Activities / Games

Pin the Hat on the Cat (cannot be bought, it had to be made), Egg Hunt to represent Horton Hatches an Egg and Green Eggs and Ham, PiƱata and a guessing game, you had to guess how many candies were in the jar in order to take the whole jar home.

  • Budget

We exceeded the budget. I got a little carried away with ordering the plush characters but they added such a good touch.

  • Best Moment

Seeing how excited all the guests were to see a fun and different theme. I was told that they loved seeing books from their childhood.

  • Most Touching Moment

Reading the quotes. Some were cute and some really had a good meaning behind them. Some guests wanted to take them home at the end of the party.
