Madeline's First Communion Party

Madeline's First Communion party was themed around a sweet treat buffet decorated with tissue paper flowers. I wanted the theme to be fun and very colorful.

The candy consisted of bright colored cross shaped lollipops, Mike & Ikes, Twizzlers, Nerds, Laffy Taffy, Fun Dip, Easter Hershey bars and Kisses. Along with the candy, I had chocolate and vanilla cupcakes decorated with sprinkles, coconut macaroons, no bake cookies, mini pecan pies, chocolate chip cookies, and peanut butter blossoms. I also had a cross shaped pull apart cake made as an extra dessert option.

• What People Ate

  Since this was mid-May, we wanted it to be like the first barbecue of the season. We grilled hotdogs and hamburgers and had all the fixings to make your own burger or dog. Along with that we had potato salad, Greek pasta salad, crab salad, and taco salad.

  Soda, Capri Sun, beer, and wine.
