Let's Shell-abrate! "At Home" Birthday Party!

The smallest of our crew had MANY opinions about her birthday bash. She’s usually our free spirited and easygoing child but the “bridezilla” in her came out a little earlier than we expected.

After many conference calls (FaceTime calls with her cousins where they all screamed different ideas and we tried to get a words in) And many themes from Superheroes to Unicorns being tossed around we were so pleased (like, seriously PLEASED) to hear she finally made a decision: Mermaid pool party! And it was a HIT.

Since we were staying in a vacation rental property space and furniture were limited, we wanted to be sure to maximize the small corner we did have. In this design we decided to go for an “All In One” style display table, we made our kids table and dessert table “all in one”! Not only do the kids absolutely LOVE the idea of easy access to all the sweets (because honestly, who wouldn’t?) It also helps your whole design come together nicely! To spice up the center of the table we cut in half a plastic table cover and layered it with fish netting we grabbed at the Dollar Store. However, what really added the cherry on top to this design were our handmade tissue paper clams with a tiny balloon "pearl" in the center. It was a fun project our little ones helped us create the week leading up to the party and they were so thrilled their Masterpiece was being displayed front and center!

Although we all have been sheltering our kids from the world for months we hope to still inspire you mommies to still celebrate life! If there's one thing we can take away from such a crazy time we are living at the moment is that life is short and tomorrow isn't promised. CELEBRATIONS should not be canceled.
