Party Recap

I had the honor of planning my sister-in-law's very special baby shower for her son, and my first nephew, Kaleb!

My sister-in-law let me have full reins of the shower! She quickly settled on a "Winnie the Pooh" theme which I absolutely loved! My imagination ran wild and I pulled out all the stops!

I handmade every decoration, favor, and snack item so it was the perfect combination of "Winnie the Pooh"!

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

I served "Winnie the Pooh" themed snack foods as the baby shower was in the early afternoon! We had "Tigger Tails" (marshmallow kabobs covered in orange chocolate with drizzled black chocolate "stripes" overtop), "Sticks from Eeyore's House" (pretzel sticks), "Silly, Willy, Nilly ol' Bears (bear shaped rice krispie treats drizzled with yellow chocolate), "Veggies from Rabbits Garden", Gummy Bears, "100 Aker Trail Mix" (trail mix with honey comb cereal, candy pieces and teddy grahams) and of course vanilla cupcakes with bright yellow buttercream. Keeping with the Winnie the Pooh theme, guests had a drink from "Gopher's Drinking Hole" (blue punch or bottles of water).

  • Party Favors

Each guest left with a mini jar of honey and a mini honey dipper!

  • Activities / Games

We played a few of the typical baby shower games...with a Winnie The Pooh twist on them all! I filled a large glass jar with Winnie the Pooh print diapers, and guests filled out a honey pot with their guess of how many diapers were in the jar. I gave guests each clothes pins with a Tigger ribbon tied to each for the "Don't say Baby" game! I also had "Baby Shower Wishes" cards for each guest to fill out. They are such a great keepsake to look back on when Kaleb gets older!
