Party Recap
A lover of all things Disney Princess, my little one asked for a Ariel party - which transformed into a Mermaid themed party.
Party Highlights

Desserts
The dessert table is one of my favorite aspects to a party. Guests enjoyed s'mores on a stick, cupcakes, my Mother-in-law's fabulous peanut butter finger dessert bars and various goodies to snack on; salt water taffy, gumballs, sixlets and stick pops.

Party Favors
Both boys and girls were adorned with custom made, glittery "Sea Crowns" and were given treat bags filled with lots of goodies.

Activities / Games
With all of the DIY inspiration on pinterest, I have always wanted to make my own pinata - using a family recipe for paper mache, I carefully sculpted my very first pinata. After several layers of mache, I made tissue paper flowers to adhere to the outside layer for decoration. I plan on making these for all of our future parties - but with less layers as this one was practically indestructible.

Funniest Moment
My little one loved blowing out her candles that she demanded we do it over and over again. After the third time of watching my little girl hold a fiery cupcake in her hands (note to self, do not let a child hold fire in her hands), we quickly distracted her with the promise of opening her many presents.

What People Drank
Guests enjoyed Pink lemonade served with freshly sliced lemons, water and beer | wine for the adults.

Note to self: Hire photographer even if it is your profession. Between preparing meals, entertaining guests and activities, I was not able to capture the photographs to do this party justice.http://ModernHeirloomPhotography.com
