Fishing Fun

For my son's 10th birthday we hired a house at a lakeside settlement a couple of hours from home and went fishing.

We had a day on the lake and fishing themed party food on our return to the batch.

• What People Ate

  Salmon (carrots), reels (mini Oreos and marshmallows), fish food (Nerds), snags (pretzel sticks), worms in dirt (crushed oreo soil and caramel chocolate worms), river rocks (coated chocolate), got one (gummy fish on lines), river reeds (Milky Ways on skewers).

• What People Drank

  Lake water (lemonade with a touch of food colouring).

• Desserts

  Chocolate rainbow trout cake.

• Party Favors

  Fishing lure and lolly bait box.

• Activities / Games

  Pass the parcel on the shores of the Lake - fishing lure prizes. Fishing for the day off both the boat and the shore.
