Party Recap
We are Dr. Seuss nuts! I knew I wanted to tackle a Dr. Seuss party for my LO's first birthday.
This was a total DIY party from the decorations and my son's onesie, to the food and cake.
Most of my supplies for this party including the table cover, napkins, tissue pompoms, cutlery etc... came from the local dollar store but I did score some Dr. Seuss themed cutouts from Michaels that teachers would use on their classroom bulletin boards. The rest I found as free printables online and with the help of photoshop was able to print the food tent cards.
The cake platters were also a DIY project. Old plates and vases from a second hand store (the uglier the better because the cheaper they are), spray painted with white and red stripes and polka dots and then glued together with E6000 adhesive for a total cost of about $5 per cake platter.
The children were mostly around 1 - 1.5 years old ... too young to structure any games. They enjoyed the time to play freely on the floor. Most were not walking yet.
