Circus Carnival 1st Birthday Party

Being a dessert table stylist, I always anticipated creating a Circus Carnival themed dessert buffet for my clients. I had a chance to throw this party for my own son for his first birthday party!

When it comes to Circus Carnival themed parties, the possibilities are endless. There is so much to work with. I love it!

For this party, I created a sweets table with a gorgeous cake I ordered from Sweet Escape Cakes. I baked number 1 sugar cookies, made chocolate dipped oreos, cake pops, and cupcakes. I absolutely love chevron print so I incorporated in the dessert table as the backdrop, as well as everywhere else in the party. I also hung a store bought circus like canopy over the table.

My favorite part of the party was the circus snacks table. It was fun trying to remember what snacks I enjoyed at a carnival or circus as a child. I displayed peanuts, popcorn with a popcorn machine, animal crackers and vintage boxed cracker jacks.

This party also had a tickets boothe that served as a spot for refreshments for the party guests. Chevron patterned table linen for all the tables and even the photo booth area I created.

A clown was hired as the party entertainer and circus music played in the background the entire time.
