Carlie's Harry Potter Party!

This was my daughter's 10th Birthday party! Our whole family is really into Harry Potter and have seen all the movies and read all the books(repeatedly)! I wanted to throw a big party for her 10th year and what a great oppurtunity to throw a Harry Potter party!

• Best Moment

  Best moment was when the kids got to hatch their magical creature! It was a bit hit!

• Party Favors

  Party favors at the party were Golden paper mache eggs that the kids could 'hatch' to reveal their own magical creature(beanie babies of bats, dragons, spiders, etc) and the "Honeydukes" treat bags that they filled themselves at "Honeydukes" :)

• Activities / Games

  When the kids first arrived we seperated them into the four Hogwarts house: Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Gryffindor. After that, the kids went to "Grignott's" to get their coins and then were off to make their purchases at "Honeydukes"(candy shop), "Ollivander's"(Wand shop), "Potions"(where they could do a candy experiment), "Three Broomsticks"(where they could make butterbeer and sample), and "Hagrid's"(where they hatched their magical creature)! We later played quidditch at the end of the party!

• Budget

  Most everything was handmade! I bought a little at a time during the 4 months prior so it wasn't too bad! :)
