Party Recap

Buddy loves horses, so his birthday was a western, cowboy and rodeo theme. We had a sign on the front that said Buddy's Ranch. When our guests arrived, they were greeted with hats, bandanas, and sheriff badges. We also had a canvas sign in that said "IV" since Buddy was turning 4 and he's actually the 4th "generation". We had 2 ponies as the main activity for the kids. Living by a culdesac allowed the kids to ride ponies there. The menu consisted of pulled pork sliders, coleslaw, baked beans, rice, Mac & cheese, cornbread, fried chicken, and almond brittle. I wish I took more pictures. I had bought alot of balloons from bargainballons.com and rented a helium tank. I bought the following type of balloons for decorations in the yard: big different color horses, red and blue bandana stars, red sunflowers, yellow sunflowers (happy Mothers day), and some fruit balloons for my fresh market (candy bar). Being Mothers day was the next day, the mothers got to take home their sunflower balloon and a burlap sack filled with goodies. It was quite windy, so it was difficult to display the balloons outside, so the sunflowers balloons were stored inside until handed out as guest were leaving. The tables are decorated with cow printed plastic table cloths (amazon). The centerpieces were tin cans from canned foods with a picture of Buddy (left over pic party invitations) glued to the can and fresh yellow and white mum flowers inside of it . We put small plastic horses on the tables as well (amazon) as favors for the kids. There were haybales around the yard as well. We also made a pinata filed with toys and candy. I just got a big rectangle box and glued his "wanted" picture on both sides. It was cute. I have a folder on pinterest called "Buddy's Rodeo Party" for more ideas. I used alot of the ideas on pinterest, and didn't take enough pictures.
