Blake's 9th Birthday

Calling all Party Animals! Lets get WILD!
I wanted a fun, unique theme for my son, Blake... who is an avid lover of all thing ANIMAL. Ive had this idea in mind for a few years, so I knew I had to go BIG for my special boy! I knew I wanted bright, playful colors, on a black and white palette. I knew The Blanc would be the perfect venue to execute this theme because of its blank yet inviting canvas. I knew the colors would POP at the Blanc and make for a perfect party!
For the party design, I decided to play upon the invitation graphics from SpruceAndWillow. I saw this invite and immediately fell in love! The bold colors, triangle shapes and stripes made envisioning my design a breeze! I ordered the whole bundle and began to create! This is what truly set the tone for this amazing theme! I knew it wanted it to be all about the BOYS! So I chose the colors that would best fit my vision.
For the main display, I wanted to keep the sharp triangle and stripe theme consistent throughout the design. I knew I wanted a 3-D display, so I created angled walls in bold shapes and colors, and the theme graphic. I wanted something edgy, so I used a mesh cage backdrop with a bright “Lets Party” light to captivate the guests. I wanted black and white elements to complete the look, so I opted for custom black and white animals by @sydneysmithdesign and a super cool two-tone pedestal by @f.e.rentals for the cake display. The cake by @cakedbymel__was PERFECTION. The design, details, (and taste) were flawless, and matched everything so precisely. The amazing balloons by @prettylittleballoonsandrentals tied the whole look together, as the color-block design brought out all the elements and hues in the overall design.
For the kids table, I knew I wanted to continue with the triangle idea. Again, keeping the “black in white” in mind, I knew I needed to break up the colors. I created colorful custom triangle placemats with all the boys’ names and paired it with animal accessories. The spotted dessert plates were my fav! All the colors truly popped on the black table, and the white metal chairs added the picture-perfect touch. The greenery centerpieces in modern white vases tied in the whole animal vibe, without giving the traditional “safari” feel.
I wanted to incorporate several focal areas for the boys to enjoy, so I decided to create different party stations. The “Watering Hole” featured drinks (wild water and jungle juice) and cool custom cookies by @tinykitchencookiecompany atop a beautiful black and white acrylic candy cart by @f.e.rentals. This station was a hit, as it had all the goodies, and also looked so cool decorated with a colorful balloon garland by @eventexecutives. The “Party Supplies” cart by @rentmoncheri had even more goodies: wristbands, party hats, goodie bags, sunglasses, and of course, masks… all the essentials for a true party animal! The best party of this station was the cool Zebra by @partyperfect_! Zizi, as I call her, was ready to party herself, with her party hat on and sunglasses to match! She brought this whole station together, and the boys enjoyed snapping selfies with her.
The “Thanks for Going Wild with Me” station was spot on for this theme. The black and white shelf design made for the perfect display of colorful animal cracker favors. The color-block design mixed with the custom thank you tags, made for a picture-perfect display!
Finally, the bounce house by @leesplayland! How else do you tie together a black and white theme? With an ALL-BLACK bounce house, that is! The bounce house was the ideal addition for this theme. Adorned with colorful balloons by @prettylittleballoonsandrentals, and a BOYS ONLY sign, this item was not only exactly what was needed, but it was a lot of fun for the boys! We are so happy to have included this rental in the party design.
