Avarie's Bee Themed 1st Birthday Party

I found ideas for the party on the internet and then started getting to work. My sister is a photographer and pics of our special day. The only complaint I had was that it was extremely hot for an outdoor August party in LA.

  I cut sandwiches with cookie cutters in the shape of flowers and bees.

  Lemonade and soft drinks

  She cried during the entire cake cutting and singing happy birthday.

• Desserts

  I had cupcakes made at Target then added my own finishing touches on them to make them look like beehives and bumble bees.

• Party Favors

  I made party hats and found books about bees and garden tools with bees on them.

• Activities / Games

  We played pin the bee on the beehive and we had a bee pinata.
