Party Recap
For my daughter's first birthday party we threw a Mexican themed first fiesta. Much of the party was DIY things that I made myself. I decorated around the door and throughout the house with tissue paper flowers and made a tissue paper "1" to hang on the front door. The invitations and gift bags were very simple bases decorated with pinata like fringe. I also made"Happy Birthday Audrey" banners to hang above the dessert table. The dessert table was the focal point of the party featuring a paper flower backdrop and a gorgeous three tier cake. All other desserts (traditional mexican sweet breads, cookies, churros, and peanut candies) came from a local mexican store "Del Carmen" along with the rice, beans, chips and salsa we served with horchata and traditional mexican soda Jarritos.
