Party Recap

Two sons, same birthday month. Yikes! When you're a busy mom of three and have no time to plan, celebrating multiple birthdays on one day is super efficient. The trick is making each child feel like they are getting recognized. So when my client asked me to help, I knew I had my work cut out for me... I was tasked with creating a "toys & treats" table that encompassed both themes- Nerf for her 6-year-old and Bubbles for her two-year-old. I decided to create custom banners to use as backdrops for the 12-foot table. A Nerf blaster shot bubbles instead of bullets and the boys' names were spelled out. The banners were separated by crepe streamers. For the Bubbles boy, I incorporated round foods-- donut holes, chocolate balls, cheese balls, and lolliPOPs. Bubbles for both big & little kids and DOT art were the toys. For the Nerf lover, we put out Nerf themed toys- including mini Nerf blasters, temporary Nerf themed tattoos and disc shooters. To tie the two themes together, we stuck with a royal blue, turquoise and orange color scheme, and mixed polka dots (round!) and orange camo patterns on the signage.
