Hi, my name is Misty and I’m a self-admitted tech junky, Apple fan-girl, and absolutely LOVE designing.

I started selling my custom lip balm on Etsy in 2014 and have had the opportunity to create custom favors for special occasions and events worldwide. I get to play a small role in my customer’s most special moments and I consider it an honor and a privilege. I love interacting with my customers on custom designs and do a happy-dance every time I get a 5-star review (check out my Etsy reviews here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TwistyTurtle/reviews). Even after sending out thousands of lip balms it still makes my day to know that I have a thrilled customer. It keeps me motivated and excited to continue dreaming up my next theme.

When I’m designing, I look at it as if it’s for MY special event. I ask myself, “Would I be happy with this?” If the answer isn’t 100% yes, I keep working on it until it meets my standards ( I am super picky!).

One of the reasons I chose to design custom labels for lip balm is the idea that it’s something that people can actually use and enjoy over time. For children’s party favors it makes a great candy alternative and protects those little lips from getting chapped all year round. For adults, almost everyone I know carries lip balm in a purse or a pocket so it makes a great favor your guests will love for pretty much any occasion.

Wondering if I use my own lip balm? Yep, I sure do! I have never been a fan of “waxy” lip balms and love this recipe as the shea butter is super moisturizing. My husband was a tried and true waxy lip balm user for years and now he’s hooked as well (yay!).
