Make your own Wish Jar! Guests can write well wishes or words of wisdom to the birthday boy or girl, or other guest of honor, and tuck them away in the jar. It will make a great keepsake for years to come. This DIY Wish Jar kit includes 2 editable templates (sign and band/tags) and 3 print ready kraft paper designs.

•The basics...
Fancy Shmancy Notes has partnered with an online text editing platform, Corjl, to enable customers the convenience and ease of editing their templates directly from their computer or mobile device. It's a simple process and we think you will be thrilled with this new format. Personalize using your computer or your phone/mobile device...nothing to install, nothing to download!

Phone/mobile device editing can be used to change the wording on your templates. For more advanced editing, like changing colors, font style, adding text boxes, etc., you need to use a non-mobile device using Chrome, Firefox or Safari.

•How to order...
Ordering is easy. Add the item to your cart. Proceed to checkout and follow instructions to pay for your order on Etsy.

You will receive an order confirmation from Etsy, with a link to download the Corjl Editing Instruction pdf. It is very detailed!

NOTE: You will not receive an invitation in the mail or an editable pdf file.

•Creating your Wish Jar...
Customize your templates using Corjl.
What is not editable? Size and orientation of templates. The word "Wishes" is not editable. Colors and designs cannot be changed. The kraft patterned background is part of the design.
What is editable? Body text on the sign and tags-Font size, color, style. Add text boxes, move original text boxes.

Print all of the files at home or at a copy center, as jpeg or pdf files, on 8.5 x 11 white paper or card stock.
Trim the sign and put in 8x10 frame to display at your party.

Print the patterned paper on regular white paper or white card stock. Cut the paper in quarters or in half. Each piece can be used by guests to write their birthday wish or words of wisdom. They can write on the white side and fold when done, with the patterned side showing in the jar.

Print and cut out the strips and tags. Layer the bands using one thick and one thin (choice of three patterns) band. Wrap around a mason jar and secure with tape. Glue or tape the Wishes tag (there are a few to choose from or layer together) to the front of the jar, layered on top of the bands.

Display your wish jar, sign and pens at the party.
