Vintage White Jade Rabbit Figurine Statue
Beautiful Vintage White Jade Rabbit - high quality white jade - a very fine piece with lots of personality and character!
Lovely jade rabbit in a sitting pose - fine hash-mark details on her head, ears, back, side and tail, even her whiskers are well-defined - highly translucent - beautiful white jade with no inclusions or discoloration.
There is the tiniest of chips on this jade rabbit's outer toe on her front left foot, which is not well seen. It does not detract from the piece in any way, but can be felt as a very slight sharp edge.
Otherwise, in excellent vintage condition, no cracks or fissures and very stable on hard flat surfaces.
White jade was very popular in figures and ornaments during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
The Rabbit is the fourth animal sign in the Chinese zodiac cycle.
Former Years of The Rabbit are: 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, and 2011.
The next Year of The Rabbit is 2023!
