Vintage White Jade Pig Nephrite Figurine Statue
This particular style of elongated pig is of a design that first appeared in Chinese jade art during the Han Dynasty (220BC - 200AD.)
This vintage nephrite jade pig has superficial areas of light patina and calcination on the rump - incredibly translucent clear whitish-gray jade throughout the piece with some dark inclusions here and there - on back-lighting this pig is remarkably beautiful, a real jewel - very stable and sits flat with no wobble!
