☽ about the art
Two peacocks on tree branch (1900-1930) by Ohara Koson
Ohara Koson was a Japanese painter and print designer of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, part of the shin-hanga ("new prints") movement.
Peacocks symbolize vision, royalty, spirituality, awakening, guidance, protection, & watchfulness. In Greco-Roman mythology the Peacock tail has the "eyes" of the stars. In Hinduism, the Peacock is associated with Lakshmi who represents patience, kindness and luck. This would be great art for the entry way.
