- The 1943 pennies are the only US pennies made from steel coated in zinc due to the war. The best condition *circulated* steelies remaining today tend to have a gunmetal color appearance and significant pitting and tarnishing/rusting.

- The front/visible side of each "steelie" penny is polished to as bright as shine as possible, considering that both pennies have been circulated and have endured some rusting.

- The circulated 1943 steel wheat pennies tend to show significant wear and scratches (as pictured) due to their age. If you want uncirculated or proof pennies for your cuff links, please convo me about setting up a custom order.

- The back/bottom side of each steel penny will be unpolished and adhered with powerful, permanent jewelry adhesive to a silver-plated (brass-based) cuff link that is about 0.75 inches in length. The cuff links are the traditional bullet back settings.

- The cuff links will be packaged in a gold foil gift box ready to give as a gift. Comes from a smoke-free home.

These cuff links would make perfect gifts for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, grooms, groomsmen, Christmas / Hanukkah, Father's Day, graduation, etc.

✔ Each hand-stamped item is stamped by me, by hand, using a hammer -- one letter/number/character/symbol at a time -- so the letters/characters/numbers may not be perfectly lined up, which only adds to the charming, rustic appeal of an item. No two will ever look the same!
