This set of flashcards, titled Acorn to Zebra, comes as two digital, downloadable ZIP files containing all 26 letters of the alphabet in JPEG format and illustrations based on vintage images.

Just print the flashcards then use them as wall hangings, for educational purposes, for scrapbooking and other paper crafts projects. Each card measures 5" by 7" when printed at full resolution.
:::::: These files are delivered via two .ZIP files. Most computers already have software to "unzip" or "extract" a .ZIP file, but if yours doesn't have it already, you can find the software easily online by searching for WinZip or 7-zip.org. You won't be able to access the graphic files inside if you can't unzip or extract the .ZIP file. ::::::

♥ You get two ZIP files.
♥ The first is an 9-megabyte, ZIP file containing 26 5" by 7" JPEG files. Each letter is saved as an individual file. Each letter can be printed on 5" by 7" card stock.
♥ The second is a 10-megabyte ZIP that contains 13 JPEG files. Each JPEG file contains two letters. These JPEGs are meant to be printed on 8.5" by 11" card stock then cut out. When cut out, these cards measure 5" by 7".
♥ Each flash card features a vintage image that we have enhanced, manipulated and changed for a unique alphabet.
♥ Most of the cards include a cream-colored background. Seven cards, however, have a different color, such as light blue, a grayish blue, yellow, or green. Please see our preview photo.
♥ Each card includes the illustration, a capital letter, and the corresponding word.
♥ Predominate colors are cream (or ivory), yellow, green, blue, blue-gray, red, a tan-brown and pink, all of which work well for both boys and girls.
♥ Here is the list of words for each letter: acorn, boat, camel, dog, elephant, fish, goat, house, island, jack-in-the-box, kite, lion, monkey, nail, orange, pig, queen, rooster, snow, train, umbrella, violet, worm, xylophone, yawn and zebra.
♥ You may print these cards on your home printer or have them printed by a photo finisher or copy center for your personal, non-commercial use. Teachers, these make great decorations for the classroom. Parents, you'll love how these look hung in your child's nursery.
