This is a single Lincoln penny stamped with "DAD" (OR stamped with up to 9 characters/spaces total, for an additional charge) across the front center and a heart stamped around the year. I drill a hole in the top of the penny, insert a split ring, and attach it to a 1.125 inch (1-1/8"; 28mm) steel keychain / key ring (in 3 color choices). The keychain arrives packaged in an organza gift bag.

Remember, U.S. pennies are only 19mm across (roughly 3/4-inch or 0.75 inches), U.S. dimes are only 17.7mm across (less than 3/4-inch; roughly 0.70 inches), and U.S. nickels are only 21.2mm across (roughly 0.84 inches).

➽➽➽ NOTE: I do *not* stamp on the front & back of any single penny. Stamping on one side causes a slight "smudge" in the metal on the opposite side (because the metal is soft). If you stamp on both sides of the penny, one side of the stamped characters ends up slightly distorted. The only way to avoid this is to stamp the characters *very* lightly, which means they don't show up very well, even when darkened in. Thanks for understanding.

➽➽➽ All pieces are handcrafted by me. Spacing between, and depth of, hand-stamped letters, numbers, characters/images, etc., will vary slightly between, and within, items. These small variations add to the charm and unique nature of each piece. They are not imperfections.

1) Please select the penny year you want. For this listing, the year must be between 1959 and 2023. If you want another year of penny, please convo me.

2) Both sides of the penny will be polished to as bright a shine as possible, but will show some wear and scratches due to circulation.

3) A heart is stamped around the year. The stamped characters are blackened in so that the word(s)/date stands out. Letters will be in all caps. Maximum number of letters, characters, numbers, and/or spaces is 9 (for an extra charge), not counting the heart around the year. If you are interested in specific additional characters -- such as a heart or cross -- please convo me prior to placing you order so we can discuss the options.

4) The standard penny comes with 3 characters available to be stamped (e.g, "DAD" or "MOM" or three initials). If you want a longer word, name, or a date/numbers, please select how many additional characters & spaces you will need from the drop-down box above ("Number of Letters?"):
◆ "Just 3 Letters - DAD" = you want "DAD" stamped, as pictured in the sample photos
◆ "Just 3 Letters - ???" = you just need a total of 3 letters/spaces stamped (e.g., "POP")
◆ "4-6 Letters" = you need a total of 4-6 letters/spaces stamped (e.g., "DADDY" or "A & C" or "NANA")
◆ "7-9 Letters" = you need a total of 7-9 letters/spaces stamped (e.g., "GRANDPA" or "12●25●15" or "RICHARD")

Anything over 5 characters/spaces (depending on the width of the letters) MAY be stamped in a smaller font so that it will fit across the center of the penny.
