This is a single polished 1973 mint condition, Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) Lincoln penny with two initials and a heart hand-stamped near the bottom center edge of the penny. (See below about the unusual 1968-1970s penny layout.) The initials are separated by an ampersand (&) or a plus sign (+). OR you can get 3 initials stamped instead (e.g., for a 50th birthday). The initials, symbol, and heart will be blackened in so that they stand out. If you don't want a heart, please let me know. This is perfect to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary or 50th birthday!

🌟 🌟 🌟 Due to the unusual layout of the 1968-1970s pennies, I will NOT be able to stamp a heart *around* the penny year. The year is situated so that the last digit is actually right up against the rim of the penny. I cannot stamp a heart around the year without either (a) cutting off part of the date OR (b) stamping across the rim, causing the penny to change shape/be distorted.

However, I *CAN* stamp:
(a) a small OR LARGE heart image near the bottom center of the penny, OR
(b) a small heart image BELOW the penny year.

★ ★ ★The DEFAULT is to stamp a small heart BELOW the penny year, if no choice is indicated.

🌟🌟🌟 NOTE: These photos are close-up pictures of a sample penny ornament. Please refer to an actual U.S. penny for size comparison (and please remember that as we age, our vision typically declines). Some people celebrating their 50th wedding anniversaries MAY not be able to see the stamped heart around the penny year, etc. If that is a concern, please consider one of my 50 cent piece (Kennedy half dollar) coin ornaments instead.

🌟🌟🌟 ANOTHER OPTION is that I can stamp both the letters and the heart using LARGER stamps so that the letters are bigger and that the heart is bigger, too. Just let me know at Checkout.

➽➽➽ Pictures are enlarged (close-ups) to show detail. The photos are not the actual size of the finished item. Please refer to the applicable scale information shown in the photos (i.e., the U.S. penny, the U.S. dime, the ruler, etc.) and/or the listing description for actual dimensions. Remember, U.S. pennies are only 19mm across (roughly 3/4-inch or 0.75 inches) and U.S. dimes are only 17.7mm across (less than 3/4-inch; roughly 0.70 inches).

➽➽➽ NOTE: I do *not* stamp on the front & back of any single penny. Stamping on one side causes a slight "smudge" in the metal on the opposite side (because the metal is soft). If you stamp on both sides of the penny, one side of the stamped characters ends up slightly distorted. The only way to avoid this is to stamp the characters *very* lightly, which means they don't show up very well, even when darkened in. Thanks for understanding.

➽➽➽ All pieces are handcrafted by me. Spacing between, and depth of, hand-stamped letters, numbers, characters/images, etc., will vary slightly between, and within, items. These small variations add to the charm and unique nature of each piece. They are not imperfections.

❶ The DEFAULT penny year is 1973, and the penny will be in Brilliant Uncirculated/Mint condition. If you want another penny year, please convo me. I only have 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, and few other vintage BU/Mint pennies on hand but can order others (for a custom order listing). However, please understand that the penny can still show some minor scratching, spots, or discoloration due to age, storage, and the minting process itself despite being uncirculated.

(b) the 3 initials you want me to stamp.
------Initials will be stamped in uppercase letters (using the font pictured) unless you tell me specifically that you want them stamped in lowercase letters.
------And if you do NOT want a heart stamped around the penny year, please let me know at Checkout. The default option is to include the stamped heart.

❸ I hand-drill a hole in the top of the penny and thread a 0.25-inch red, green, white (pictured), ivory, silver, old/antique gold (pictured), bright gold, or wine/maroon/burgundy satin ribbon through the hole. The ribbon is tied at the top, and the ribbon ends are singed to prevent fraying. I also have natural tan color jute twine available (and I use Fray Check to keep the twine ends from unraveling).
