For Harper's Harry Potter themed party, I wanted to make sure to capture all of the highlights of the books so I set out to create three vignettes for the decorations:
1. Platform 9 3/4 - where the guests picked up their robe, glasses and wands and then picked up a suitcase and walked through the brick wall.
2. Professor Snape's Potions class - where wizard guests helped me make the beverages - Polyjuice Potion, Pensieve Punch and Butter beer.
3. And the Dining Hall - where guests ate their meal and sweets.
I also wanted to pay tribute to other parts of the book so I included: Harry's Hogwarts Acceptance letters, the Sorting Hat, Gold Snitch candy balls and even some Patronus S'mores kits.
The amazing cake was made by April of A Custom Kreation and topped with a wizard worthy Owl made by Painted Parade.
What People Ate

Fabulous cake by A Custom Kreation, HP cookies by 2 Smart Cookies FL and LOTS of candy
Each guest received a wizard robe, glasses and a wand. They also went home with treats like golden snitch candy balls and HP cookies.
Activities / Games
The guests all had to pick up their Wizarding gear and luggage and go through Platform 9 3/4 to begin the party. Then, a magical guest treated the girls to a 30 minute show of tricks. The girls were able to pick out their favorite glitter tattoo and have it applied after each wizard was sorted into their house. They decorated their goblets at the dining table and we made all of the themed beverages in the Potions lab area.
