  • Activities / Games

Our Jedi Training Academy began where each child received a Jedi Robe and a lightsaber. We did a short course on proper lightsaber training and then they moved on to the obstacle course. They hopped over a hot lava field, moved through a tunnel, walked over a balance beam and in the end battled a Sith Lord to rescue Yoda from his prison (decorated cardboard box). Next they went on a scavenger hunt throughout the park for pop rocks, star wars rings and glow sticks, gathering their supplies to fight evil. Next they each stood in line to learn to use the force and make Yoda move. (We tied fishing line to Yoda and watched him go flying). The kids loved this game. Next they trained in Yoda's Swampy Bounce House with their lightsabers and prepared to battle Darth Vader. As Vader arrived, they came out in swarms and battled him with the lightsabers. After they defeated Vader, they still needed to complete one final task...destroying the Death Star. We found a disco ball pinata from Party City and didn't even have to paint or do anything to it. We had a medal ceremony awarding them for completing the Jedi Academy. (I bought these Star Wars printables off Etsy and used them on the medals and for other decorations and the favor bags).

  • Party Favors

Pool Noodle Lightsabers, Jedi Robe, cupcake rings, Star Wars Lego cup, pop rocks, glow sticks, Lego Star Wars stickers, glow in the dark blow up lightsabers, Star Wars Pez, Star Wars blowouts, Medals, Jedi Training Certificate

  • Best Moment

Hearing my son tell me how much he loved his Star Wars party! It was a very windy day but so much fun to have.

  • What People Ate

Jedi Lightsabers (chocolate covered pretzels), Droid Chips, and Sand People Sandwiches

  • What People Drank

Yoda Soda and Vaderade. Yoda Soda was made with Sprite and Lime Sherbert and was a hit with kids and adults.

  • Funniest Moment

As the kids were destroying the Death Star pinata, it fell down quickly and one child swooped it up and took off running. All the kids screamed and ran after him and he threw it on the ground with all the candy flying everywhere.
