Hi! Such a cool party! How did you make the ball pit monster? Is it wood, foam board, something else? Thanks!

Hi Megan, Thank you! It was such a fun party to put togther. Endless options! I used plywood and a tester size amout of paint did the job to cover it. The eyes are made from regular thick white paper plates and black construction paper for the pupil. The teeth are made from white foam paper so it wouldn't hurt the kiddos when they crawl in and out of the mouth.

Hi! I'm planning on doing the same theme for my sons first bday party.. love all your decorations! i have a few questions... -how did you make those monsters above the desert table? just construction paper and a glue stick? -on the wall that has all the streamers hanging down and the 2 rows of balloons above it, what was the best way to stick the balloons to the wall? i have a backyard very similar to yours and just curious if you have a suggestion :) -are those tissue pompom's sold at any party store? (I've never purchased) -for the monster photo booth piece of plywood... did you guys paint on the monsters? they look great if you did! ..sorry for all the questions, party planning isn't my thing but I'm REALLY trying to make it a good party lol! Thank you!!!

Hi Mar! Thank you! Ok, so... I made all the Monsters above the desert table using poster board. Just used a pencil to draw it out. Then cut it.. Doesn't have to be perfect! That's the great thing about monster's lol I used construction paper for the mouth, teeth and eyes. I used foam paper from the dollar store for the spots on the monsters. It comes in a small square pack. I cut them into circles. But you could use construction paper. I'm pretty sure I just used clear tape to do most of it. But glue will work also. I love tape! lol the monsters on the photo prop are exactly the same made from poster board. I just cut out the mouth and we stapled them to the plywood. I used tape to attach the balloons on the wall also. The paper pom poms I made also. They are Super easy! Just fishing line and tissue paper. You can watch a tutorial video on YouTube. Or you can buy them pre done. Any party store or walmart will have them. I used construction paper for the eyes and mouth. Then some pipe cleaners for hair. I got all my supplies from the dollar store and walmart. It is such a fun theme! :)

I love the monster ball pit! I saw that you made it with plywood and painted it with a tester size can of paint. 1) How did you get it to stand up and 2) what did you use to cut out the mouth? Great job!!

Hi Julia! Thank you! We used and electric saw to cut the half circle for the mouth. Then attached stakes to the back and into the ground to keep it up right. For the photo booth we used 2x4s to make legs to keep it up.

Hi dear! You're such a great mom!! Great parties for your little one! I saw your monster theme party it's so cute! I am doing the same theme for my son. Would you mind share the info of how you made the monster cake? Thank you so much

    Michele A wrote:

Hi Jamie! Thank you! You are so sweet! A family friend made the cake for me. I asked her to make the top part a removable smash cake for my son with lots of frosting. Then the bottom part for the guest. It worked out great. The only thing I have noticed with both his birthdays. Is if you both cupcakes and cake for the guests filled up on cupcakes so we had a ton of leftover cake. :)

Had to joint the site so I could comment how amazing your party is! All the details are awesome and so creative!! My baby boy is turning 1 in a couple months and I'm pretty sure I'm doing a monster theme! Could you tell me how you made the table center pieces (the one with his cute pic inside)? And any particular place you recommend for banners?

    Michele A wrote:

Hi Tina! Thank you!! I actually made the center pieces using the dollar store glass cylinders. Then inside I put foam piece also from the dollar store. For the outside I taped the dollar store foam paper rectangles. It's comes in a pack in the craft section.. in a variety pack of colors like blue, yellow, red, orange, purple.. then I just taped a 4x6 on the front and the foam paper on the back and it fits perfectly around. Super easy. For the monsters I used poster board and cut it out then taped it to a stick! I actually made the center pieces using the dollar store glass cylinders. I love this party and have been looking at it for several months. My twins birthday is coming up and we lost our sweet Walker 3 months ago. Since losing him, I really don't want to continue with a party but our family wants to. I pinned this party months ago and would love to do our spin on it. Can you tell me where to find the circled background?? I can't find anything like that. Their birthday is March 31. Thanks so much
