Party Recap

We had been talking for months about what to do for my friend Monique's 40th. Since none of us feel forty is a bad word we knew we should do something to celebrate it rather than mourn the loss of our thirties. Monique asked us if we were interested in going to La Costa for the day and of course we said, "Yes!"

When I started looking for fortieth birthday stuff it was all so negative and dour. That was not going to work for us. I put together this goody bag filled with things that would convey the spirit of embracing our age and loving it.

A number of items I got at the Dollar Tree, some at Michael's, and some at Party City. What isn't shown is the pink and white beach ball I found at Party City that I wrote, "40 is a HIT!" on in black Sharpie.

We had a lovely day doing absolutely nothing but relaxing by the pool...

For more details on this goody bag visit my blog at www.madebyaprincessblog.com.

The printables set can be purchased on my website at www.partiesinstyle.com.
