Now that spring is here, and it's time to think about casual entertaining, I wanted to make some quick and easy chips with some serious "kick."( If you had my husband who pretty much drinks hot sauce, you'd understand the need for these.)
I made these garlic chili pita chips to pair with RO*TEL’s Rockin’ Guac and Bud Light Lime-A-Ritas. The combo of flavors makes me think of sitting by a pool on a warm day, hanging with friends, and having an awesome time.
The chips bring heat and crunch, the RO*TEL’s Rockin’ Guac brings creaminess and touch of tangy tomato and chilies, and the Bud Light Lime-A-Ritas bring an instant party because there are no margaritas to prepare, just pop open a can and enjoy. You could seriously put this whole setup together in about 30 minutes, and the flavors are bold, fresh, and feel like spring.
Garlic Chili Pita Chips Recipe

Directions: Preheat the oven to 375F.
Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut off the outside edge of each pita. Pull both sides of the pita apart.
Brush olive oil over the smooth side of each piece.
Mix the garlic powder and chili powder.
Cut each piece of pita into eight slices and spread them out on a baking sheet. Grab a pinch of the spice mix with your fingers and sprinkle over the chips. Lightly dust with kosher salt.
Bake in the oven at 375F for ten minutes until crunchy and brown.
