When I see a new trend showing up on our site, especially one that’s so beautiful, I have to share it right away. So here’s my first trend spotting for 2015. Introducing… decorated stacked cookies. Aren’t they gorgeous?!
Most of the ones we’re seeing are simple sugar cookies or shortbread cookies, and sandwiched between them is pretty frosting. Plus there seems to be a definite flower theme, lots of piped rosettes and added gumpaste flowers. And don’t forget the sparkle. To really make these decorated stacked cookies stand out, we’re seeing glittered detail on the edges of the cookies, or completely covering the cookies.
What I love about these stacked cookies is they can work for so many occasions — baby showers, bridal showers, 1st birthdays, and girl birthdays. Plus you can make them as formal or rustic as you like.
What are your thoughts on serving them instead of cupcakes? Novel and interesting, I think.
