Party Recap

We had our party on the rooftop of a hotel in Grass Valley, they have a gorgeous garden up there. We started the design knowing I wanted them sitting on pillows around the table. I used two pallets stacked on top of one another for the tables. I bought white and gold tassel blankets from the Target's Lily Pulitzer collection to put underneath the pallets. I handmade 14 pillows finished with tassels, fringe, and pompoms for the girls to sit on. I gathered old doilies from antique shops and sewed them together to make table runners which draped over then pallets. I rented a variety of vintage dishes and gold flatware from Roots Reclaimed Vintage Rentals to finish off the tables. the centerpieces were a variety of old bottles with wildflowers.

I knew each girl had to have a flower crown, I handmade each flower and crown as well as some round sunglasses that I finished with little pink flowers and little bloke letters with different sayings, '''wild heart," "gypsy soul," "flower child."

For the DIY terrariums I used mason jars with personalized tags for each girl. They got to fillet with soil, fish rock, gold stones, mini seashells and a succulents. I also handmade the fringe diamond piñata, I used cardboard, tape and tissue. I filled the piñata with a bag for each girl filled with old time candies.

For the food we kept it light and fresh with delicious homemade sandwiched from Emily's Catering and a pesto tortellini, fresh fruit and my moms famous caramelized apples and brie and fresh strawberry lemonade to drink.

Hi. Can you tell me where you got the flowers for the sunglasses and what size they are? Also, are the sunglasses round? Thank you!! The party is so adorable.

Thank you...the sunglasses are round and I got them at forever 21 but fit the smaller girls. The flowers were from the trim section of Joanns fabric store, it was in a ribbon and I cut them individually.
